News from international media say the Colombian congresswoman Piedad Cordoba has been nominated for the Nobel organization for the Nobel Peace Prize.
as Colombian citizens we want you to know that most of the Colombian people considered Ms. Cordoba a declared enemy of democracy in our country, even promoting subversive actions against the Colombian institutions in public events at universities and in many other scenarios.
Justified in supposed humanitarian acts, she has been attacking the government constitutionally elected in Colombia in recent years promoting the proposed blackmail by terrorists of the FARC, intended to exchange 20 hostages for 500 military terrorists currently in jail. The Colombian people are opposed to this exchange because it will start an endless cycle of kidnappings look for future exchanges with the FARC.
As you may know, the terrorist group FARC has been killing, abducting and attacking the people of Colombia for over 40 years and has been consistently violating human rights and attacking our democracy.
The close relationship of Ms. Cordoba with the terrorist group FARC and Venezuelan leader Hugo Chavez, can not be accepted as Chavez has publicly confessed his intentions to expand his dictatorial regime to Colombia. The Colombian people are firmly against totalitarian regimes which restrict personal freedom and restrict all freedoms. We have had a long democratic tradition and we want to live in freedom and we want freedom for our future generations.
firmly ask to reconsider the nomination of Piedad Cordoba on behalf of the Colombian people, in the name of freedom and especially on behalf of peace.
